It all started in Italy!

Anna met Pasquale in Naples in 1970, where he was working as a baker in a local bakery. They fell in love and in 1972 they got married in Naples, where they met. They came over to America in 1973 and had their first son, Domenico. Pasquale then began to work in many bakeries in America. 18 months later, they had their second son, Antonio. At this time, Pasquale became an exceptional baker, as he had experience in both Italy and America. Then, in 1975, the first Sorrento Bakery was opened on Ronald Drive in East Hanover.  The bakery was expanding and growing, so after being there for 20 years, it was time for a larger space.  Sorrento Bakery on Eagle Rock Avenue officially opened in 1994. Domenico started started working for the bakery before he went to the French Culinary Institute in New York. He loved his time there, so he decided to continue in the family business as a pastry chef. After continuing his education, Antonio also decided to join the family business. He joined his brother in the building of their family legacy.

In March 2025, it will be 50 years opened and 30 years in this exact location!
